Ron Belmont, endorsed by the New York League of Conservation Voters

Julie Tighe, President of the New York League of Conservation Voters, said, “As Town Supervisor of Harrison, Ron Belmont made environmental issues a top priority. He established a town Sustainability Committee, eliminated pesticide use on public properties, instituted an incentive program for green buildings, converted the town fleet to hybrid vehicles and increased availability of electric vehicle charging stations. He also plans to continue these efforts by working to make Harrison a certified Climate Smart Community. We are proud to stand with Supervisor Belmont in his reelection and we urge voters in Harrison to cast their ballot for him this fall.”

NYLCV is a non-partisan and pragmatic statewide environmental organization that fights for clean water and air, renewable energy and maintaining open space. When environmentally minded New Yorkers go to the polls, they look to NYLCV to endorse the candidates most likely to be environmental leaders.
